"Behave! Or I'll send you to McGregor", as our Breede Valley neighbours would warn their errant children. Maybe they still do, for little has changed in McGregor - the best preserved and most complete example of mid-nineteenth century townscape in the Cape Province. With its traditional, whitewashed, thatched cottages set in quiet streets, surrounded by mountains, wildlife, and wine estates, McGregor really is one of the jewels of South Africa.
Here on McGregor Village website, we have all you need for anything from a short getaway to a permanent relocation. The accommodation, restaurants, artists and healers, the hikes and the history - and a large range of cottages, farms and other properties for sale in the McGregor area, with our own agent to help you.

Colour Satellite Weather Image
Our weather page now has a stunning colour feed from the Meteosat 0-degree satellite to compliment the meteogram and forecasts from Yr.No. Supplied by EUMESTAT, it is updated several times a day to show the cloud cover over South Africa.

McGregor’s longest established, independent, real estate agency, teamed up with McGregor’s original and most popular tourism website – bringing you a truly McGregor village property service!
Twenty four years ago, Corrie van der Colff and his family decided the time had come to leave the Jo’Burg hustle and bustle behind forever, and head off in search of a more tranquil
lifestyle - and what better place to find sanctuary than in the little village of McGregor!
Being a highly qualified and experienced town planner, Corrie had all the right skills to found Villagers Properties, which he did in 1990. Like all associated with the business, Corrie became very much a part of the local community . . .
